Recital weekend is getting closer.  The following information is designed to answer your questions and let you know what is expected of you.   This information was provided in a handout that was distributed to each family.   This information will remain on the website until after the recital.

Scheduled Rehearsal at JHS

The rehearsal on Thursday, June 2, at JHS is scheduled so you do not have to wait so long.  Please refer to the schedule posted throughout the studio.  BOTH REHEARSALS AT JHS ARE MANDATORY! Please be prompt for all rehearsals and come 

6/03/2022

Dress rehearsal at JHS begins at 4:00 PM and will be exactly like the show; costumes, make-up, etc.  Programs will be posted backstage and in the dressing rooms so everyone will know how the acts follow.  You are expected to stay for the entire run of the show, approximately 2 hours.  After a short break we may rehearse group numbers if necessary.  Mothers are to dress their children and keep them under control at all times.  Please no Dads in the dressing rooms.  There is to be no eating or drinking in the auditorium or the dressing rooms.  Please keep classes together so we do not miss anyone.

IMPORTANT

The recital fee of $75 per family is due as soon as possible but no later than May 21.  This fee covers rental of jackson high School Center forthe Performing Arts and its equipment, stage crew, custodial services, audio services, insurance, printing, royalties, etc.  Each family will receive up to 4 complementary tickets which will be distrubuted at each of the Craven Dance Studio rehearsals.  Additional tickets may also be purchased at that time for $15 each.  Students who have an outstanding balance for tuition, costumes, or recital fee cannot get tickets until all balances are paid in full .  No tuition due for June.

Additional Information

Make sure all costumes and headpieces are on alike.  No anklets or jewelry unless part of the costume.  No panties under the costumes.  Use plenty of bobby pins on headpieces and elastic chinstraps on hats so they do no fall off.  Please no costumes in the audience before or during the performance.  We cannot allow visitors in the dressing areas!! Cameras and videos are permitted at the dress rehearsal only.

  • On Tuesday, May 21,  Chris Rowley will begin shooting at 4:00 at Craven Dance Studio for the students who wish to be photographed in costume.  The sign-up sheet is in the parent room.

  • The recital fee of $64.00 per family is due as soon as possible but no later than May 21. 

  • This fee covers rental of Jackson HighSchool Center for the Performing Arts and its equipment, stage crew, custodial services, audio services, insurance, printing, royalties, etc. 

  • Each family will receive up to 8 complimentary tickets which will be distributed on May 21.  Additional tickets may also be purchased at that time for $8.00 each. 

  • Since all seats are reserved you need to get a head count in advance so you'll know how many are in your party. 

  • Tickets will also be available at the door for $10.00 each. 

  • All sales are final. 

  • Students who have an outstanding balance for tuition, costumes, or recital fee cannot get tickets until all balances are paid in full. 

Please be aware that the helpers at the ticket tables are volunteers.  They are handling tickets and fees as they have been instructed.

Pre-paid video orders are also due that day.  

 

No classes Saturday, May 25 through Monday, May 27 for Memorial  Day weekend. 

No tuition is due for June.

Attendance is very important this time of year.  Parents, please encourage your dancer to practice so they'll feel confident for the performances.  If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

FYI  

Enrollment for summer classes begins June 4.  Summer session starts the week of July 8 and will run for 6 weeks.
